Crossing Another Threshold

Crossing the threshold of the door

Well Ladies, you could say I passed another milestone in my femme life the other day. You may have recalled me mentioning about the poor internet service we get, as it's satellite and limited in speed and bandwidth in a given month. Well a week or teo ago I got a call from the service provider telling me they have a new tower closer to us, only a few kms away and they can send someone out to check things out.

Honestly I was still a bit cynical if this would be better as we are surrounded by trees and LTE requires line of sight and I said as much. However I agreed as it was no charge.

Then some days later we get a call from the contractor doing the work asking if we would be available a certain day between certain hours, and to confirm this please. Well I could not get a hold of anyone to confirm, so I figured the visit was off.

That day I got a new pink blouse from Secrets in Lace (stockings too) and since everyone was out I decided to get dressed and see how it fit. The fit was pretty good, shoulders are perfect but the tummy area was very wide, it might be the cut of it. So I figured since I was mostly dressed I'd got the rest of the way and put makeup etc on and take a few pictures.

By now the time window has just expired and I'd taken a few pictures, and guess what, there's a knock on the door!

What choice was there? So I just opened the door and greeted them. Two youngish guys were there and explained who they were, etc.

So I told to check it out and let me know if they can get some signal. They gave absolutely not clue if they wondered if I was some kind of trans person, or anything like that.

Of course all major companies at least have policies about dealing with minorities and transpersons.
I was pretty well dressed, but changed into jeans, t shirt and low heel shoes in case I had to go outside for some reason to talk to them. That didn't happen, but we discussed it at the door for a few minutes as I was curious if it was a tree or two which was blocking the view. There suggested we call them back when the leaves are gone in a few more weeks and they might be able to tell me if there was a specific tree or tree.

By now my timeline for the others to come home was getting tight. Now it wasn't my wife I was worried about, but my son has yet to meet his "Auntie Amy", and that was also part of the reason for changing into jeans and tshirt. I didn't want to greet these guys as a female, and say goodbye to them as a male!

The other part of the back story here is twice before there had been a knock on the door when I was dressed up. Once I was in lingerie, so obviously I wouldn't answer it like that, the other time I was fairly well dressed and had resolved to answer the door if/when it happened again.

One picture is how I was dressed when I first answered the door, the other was the second time.
